5. Minutes from the 2020 Fall Meeting approved unanimously
6. Reports
a. Treasurer reported on current budget and proposed 2022 budget
i. Roughly $87,000 total funds on hand
ii. Annual snow removal expenses are at an almost all time high
iii. Discussion followed re. year-end transfer of funds from operating to capital; long range planning; and use of dues, special assessments, or a combination for future major road repair (treasurer will draft a written document covering different points of view); moved, seconded, and approved tabling further discussion
iv. Proposed 2022 budget: no significant changes from 2021; annual dues to remain the same at $275
v. Proposed 2022 budget/dues approved unanimously
b. Treasurer reminded members of dues and late fees collection schedule
7. Closing of election polls, election of directors and results
a. Only five (5) volunteers/nominees: Dennis, Jeremy, Jill, Nate, Robert
b. Membership moved to elect the entire slate of five volunteers; approved unanimously
8. Unfinished/Old Business
a. Revisited continuation of cold patch repairs at entrance on Long Branch Drive, including Green Bag Road right of way and accumulation/removal of gravel at the guard rail
b. Revisited former concern re. available internet connectivity, fiber, speeds, etc.
c. Update received on tree removal behind Cimarron Place townhomes
d. Update received on annoying cigarette smoke and discarded cigarette butts in streets
9. New Business
a. Prairie Village Halloween trick-or-treating will adhere to city times and rules
b. Potential by-laws updates covering electronic communications and meetings were discussed (treasurer will put together a more complete package for future discussion)
c. Members discussed neighborhood intruders, vehicle break-ins and catalytic converter robbery attempt, including possible installation of two or three security cameras around neighborhood
d. It was suggested we need to think about repainting the speed hump stripes
e. The board suggested we also need to think about cleaning our storm drains next year; it has been at least two years since we have cleaned any of them
f. Board will notify entire neighborhood via mail/email re. intruders, litter (cigarette butts, etc.), and night lights
g. Board will be more timely, responsive, and proactive in addressing concerns brought to its attention; please chat with or call directors, or email board at board@prairievillagehoa.org
h. Teresa (404 Cimarron) requested old blankets and pet supplies for shelter donations
